Frequently asked questions

Is there a free plan?

Yes. The Hobby plan is free forever with 100,000 queries/month and 1 GB storage across all six data models. No credit card required.

What counts as a query?

Any operation against any data model counts as one query — a SQL SELECT, document findOne(), KV get(), vector search, time-series write, or analytics aggregation.

Do all six data models work on every plan?

Yes. Relational, document, key-value, vector, time-series, and analytics are all included on every plan including Hobby. Limits apply to query volume and storage, not features.

Is Magnus compatible with existing drivers?

Yes. Magnus speaks the PostgreSQL wire protocol for SQL and the MongoDB wire protocol for documents. Your existing Prisma, Drizzle, or Mongoose code works without modification.

What is the MCP server for?

The Magnus MCP server lets AI agents (Claude, GPT-4, Gemini) run queries and inspect schemas directly via the Model Context Protocol. Any MCP-compatible runtime can access all six data models through it.
